متن کاملComplete Poincar E Sections and Tangent Sets
Trying to extend a local deenition of a surface of section and the corresponding Poincar e map to a global one, one can encounter severe diiculties. We show that global transverse sections often do not exist for Hamiltonian systems with two degrees of freedom. As a consequence we present a method to generate so called W-section, which by construction will be intersected by (almost) all orbits. ...
متن کاملMicro Tangent Sets of Continuous Functions
Motivated by the concept of tangent measures and by H. Fürstenberg’s definition of microsets of a compact set A we introduce micro tangent sets and central micro tangent sets of continuous functions. It turns out that the typical continuous function has a rich (universal) micro tangent set structure at many points. The Brownian motion, on the other hand, with probability one does not have graph...
متن کاملSome points on generalized open sets
The paper is an attempt to represent a study of limit points, boundary points, exterior points, border, interior points and closure points in the common generalized topological space. This paper takes a look at the possibilities of an extended topological space and it also considers the new characterizations of dense set.
متن کاملThe (t,q)-Analogs of Secant and Tangent Numbers
To Doron Zeilberger, with our warmest regards, on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday. Abstract. The secant and tangent numbers are given (t, q)-analogs with an explicit com-binatorial interpretation. This extends, both analytically and combinatorially, the classical evaluations of the Eulerian and Roselle polynomials at t = −1.
